The Tamworth under 18 girls faced Stafford in an away match for their second game of their national cup campaign. It was a tough match with the scoreline remaining minimal for the majority, however it was Tamworth who pulled away and won the game with try bonus point in tow. The final score was 15-27.
The first half was hard fought with Stafford scoring the first try and Tamworth meeting their challenge with two tries of their own (Eva and Kenadie, with Izzy converting one of the two). The second half saw no change in the intense physicality brought by both teams, but welcomed more tries. Tamworth try scorers were Grace, Martha, and Kenadie, with her second try of the match, and Stafford also managed to get two tries but none of them were converted.
Dames of the game were Lucie for the forwards, and Eva for the backs, as both produced fantastic ground-making plays as they do so consistently every week. Both girls made ferocious tackles in defence and were ever present in attack; Lucie was able to break through players whilst Eva made spaces to run around them. All in all, it was a great win and successful day for all of the girls.
