Sunday 6th October saw the Tamworth under 18 girls play at the Market Bosworth ground for the first time, in line with their alliance with the girls this season. They played Market Harborough in a game that ended with a final score of 60-7 to Tamworth.
The first half showed a strong attack from Tamworth as they coordinated seven tries from Immy, Lexi, Chloe, Grace, Sophia, Millie, and Lucie; from which three conversion were took successfully by Izzy. Though the opposition showed resilience and determination in defence, Tamworth broke it down with a mixture of the forwards’ aggressive mentality and the backs’ storming runs.
A less dominant Tamworth side was seen in the second half as they had to battle with a slight slope and a mentally resurged Market Harborough side. Lexie was the first to score, with it being converted by Eva. It was met next with Market Harborough’s try and conversion, though it only spurred Tamworth on to score more. Their fitness shone through as more tries were scored: Millie and Lucie. Of the three, Eva converted two.
Dames of the game were Ella for the forwards and Chloe for the backs. Ella showed maturity in her game knowledge by becoming a leader in attack, and Chloe showcased her fast pace in her brilliant runs down the wing.
