Eight Tamworth u18 players represented Staffordshire on Sunday 12th January, playing a strong East Midlands team. The Staffordshire CB officials managed to navigate the frozen weather conditions and secured a playable venue at Leicester Forest 4G facility.

In addition to playing for the Staffs team Lucie Grice was named captain for the match with Millie Randolph leading the pack.

A hard fought win was secured, initially East Midlands raced into 2 try lead but Staffs responded quickly and overcame the deficit, the game then swung one way and then the other concluding with a win for Staffs 31-29.

Tamworth try scorers included Poppy, Lucie and Eva, well done to all 8 Tamworth players (Maddie, Nell, Eva, Ellie, Lucie, Millie, Poppy, Tia) and to the entire Staffordshire squad.
